I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington. I am a Certified Gottman Educator, Foster Care and Adoption Therapist, and Attachment and Trauma-Focused therapist. I am a Certified Theraplay Practitioner and a Certified EMDR Therapist. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1998 specializing in child welfare and family issues. Practicing professionally since 1998, I received my clinical licensure in 2001 and have worked in a variety of foster care, adoption, and mental health agency settings providing education, consultation, and therapeutic support to children and all of the people connected to them. I began practicing privately as a psychotherapist in 2014 and am thrilled to offer Individual Therapy for Adults and Adolescents, Parent/Child Psychotherapy, Parenting Education and Consultation, a specialized version of the Bringing Baby Home program ™ for foster and adoptive families, and Couples Counseling related to the preparation for and transition to parenthood. I am inspired daily by the strength and resilience of the individuals and families I serve. It is a privilege to witness the struggles, joys, and the immense growth that is possible in this process.
Adoption Therapy Associates of West Seattle (ATAWS)
I am thrilled to be part of a team within my office where I practice with three other adoption competent professionals. Although we are each sole practitioners, we regularly consult, refer, and guide one another. Please stay tuned for upcoming support group offerings for parents, tweens, and teens.
